1.  What are Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse devices?  The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse are FDA-approved, Class 11 medical devices designed for the precise treatment delivery required to control even the most difficult pain, trauma and injury cases, and a wide variety of muscle and connective tissue problems.  The microchips with the Electro-Acuscope are programmed to treat neurological tissue.  The Electro-Myopulse is programmed to specifically find and treat at 100 x per second electrical irregularities in bone, muscle, tendon, ligament and fascia.  Together they treat both acute and chronic disorders.

2.  How do they work to reduce pain and assist with healing?  These instruments aid in reducing pain and assist with healing by helping to correct the electrical abnormalities in the body.  Think of each cell as a battery.  When a cell is injured, its electrical capacity is disrupted.   These instruments are programmed with missile guidance technology, which seeks out damaged cells.  The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse then apply a specific frequency of minute, electrical impulses to the cells of the injured nerve, joint, muscle or tendon.  Think of it as "jump starting" a cell.  This helps the healing process and assists the body in self-healing by increasing the circulation and decreasing the inflammation in the injured area.

3.  Can these treatments help me with my specific condition?  Yes.  The Electro-Acuscope and the Electro-Myopulse treatments have resulted in a reduction of pain in a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.  Please call and ask about your specific condition.

4.  How much does each treatment cost and how many will I need?  Each treatment costs $150 and lasts from 60 to 90 minutes.  For best results, three consecutive treatments are recommended per week for one to six weeks depending on duration, severity and cause of the condition.

5.  Will my insurance pay for it?  Yes, these treatments are insurance-billable under traditional therapy codes; however, we do not bill your insurance company.  When you pay for your treatments, we provide you with a Super Bill which you may submit to your insurance company.  In which case, you will be reimbursed  directly from your insurance company depending on their reimbursement schedule.

6.  What kind of results can I expect from my treatments?  Typical  responses range from immediate and complete recovery with three treatments to an initial increase in pain, then a slow and steady recovery.  It may take from 3 - 10 treatments before a breakthrough occurs.  How effective and long-lasting the treatments are is also dependent on your commitment to supporting the healing process, which includes proper hydration, nutrition and physical exercise.

7.  Are there side effects?  The most common side effect is the reduction and elimination of pain.  However, as a result of the increased detoxification, you may experience atypical symptoms including but not limited to diarrhea, night sweats, headaches, nausea, flu-like symptoms etc.  These symptoms usually last from thirty minutes to an hour.  THIS IS ACTUALLY A GOOD SIGN INDICATING THAT SOMETHING IS SHIFTING IN YOUR BODY AND THE TOXINS ARE READY TO 'MOVE OUT.'

8.  What is a treatment like?  The technician will administer micro-current treatment using either plates or probes or a combination of both applied to specific areas of your body.  An electrolyte gel will be applied to the plates and probes to help the micro-current work.  You will always be comfortable during the treatment - if you begin to feel any discomfort, such as a stinging sensation, let the technician know so she can adjust the equipment.

Treatments are approximately sixty to ninety minutes long.  You may be asked during the treatment to move the area of pain so we can determine the next course of action.  Prior to and at the end of each session, you will be asked a number of questions about any changes you may have noticed.

Before beginning treatment, the technician will discuss your case with you and ask questions about your condition to determine an appropriate starting point for treatment.  Dress comfortably in sweats or loose clothing. You may need to remove some clothing to help access the areas of pain.  The technician will provide a gown for comfort.  During the treatment you will experience a very relaxed state of mind.

10.  Is there research available that supports the use of the Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse?  Yes, research findings have shown increased range of motion, a decreased healing time and progressive wound healing through the use of the Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse.

Additional studies have found that the Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse positively affect the production of ATP, sodium pump effect and Krebs cycle of the cell, thus enhancing the cell's ability to reproduce itself in a regenerative, instead of a degenerative, phase.

In 1991, two research scientists, Dr. Erwin Neher and Dr. Bert Sackmann won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine by detecting electrical currents of a trillionth of an ampere in the membrane or surface of a cell.  These findings substantiate the viability of the Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse over other micro-current devices that use tremendously higher currents of a millionth of an ampere.  In addition, the intelligent "cybernetic' (missile guidance technology) chips in the Electro-Acuscope ensure that there is never any electrical bombardment on the body.

11.  Who created this technology and manufactures the instruments?  A research physicist, Dr. Anthony Nebrensky, who assisted in developing missile guidance technology as well as the EEG, EKG and EMG devices, developed the Acuscope and Myopulse instruments.  The company he and his wife formed, BioMedical Design Inc., was established in 1974 here in the U.S. where the equipment is manufactured to this day.

12.  Is this like a TENS device?  The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse are considered TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) devices in that they use electrical stimulation; however, unlike TENS devices that simply block a pain signal or increase blood flow, the Acuscope and Myopulse have a delivery and read treat mechanism that enhances cell food (ATP) production, essentially taking a cell to a regenerative state electrically.

13.  Why haven't I heard of these instruments before if they are so good in treating pain?  The technology has been available to the elite and pro athletes for twenty years.  It was sold to doctors and chiropractors with a small booklet of directions, assuming that the practitioners would know how and where to apply it on the body.  As a result of the lack of training, these practitioners did not see the results that we at The Rexelle Group have consistently achieved with our protocols.  Our technicians have been trained by John Thorp, who has treated and overseen the treatment of thousands of individuals the past twenty years.  He developed these protocols through successful treatment of a myriad of conditions.

15.  Who is John Thorp?  John S. Thorp, President and Director of Thorp Institute established in 1995, is one of the foremost authorities on the Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse.  His training program is the most intensive and effective.

In 1986, John Thorp shattered his tibia, fibula and femur and was told that without a total knee replacement he would be crippled.  John had been a successful Hollywood stuntman on such shows as Hawaii Five O, The Six Million Dollar Man, Magnum PI, Jake and the Fat Man and a host of others.  A total knee replacement would have meant an end to his career and the life style he loved.  Fortunately, an actor friend, Lee Majors, recommended that he try this new and highly regarded therapy that had been thrust into the limelight by professional athletes such as Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, and golfing great, Jack Nicholas.

The results were incredible.  A year from the date of his injury, he competed in his first triathlon on a leg the doctors said would never bend.  He returned to the occupation he loved and began sharing this amazing technology with his colleagues.  He proved, by working on horses, that it was not just a placebo effect or mind over matter that created his dramatic recovery.  Every horse, as well as the people he treated, had the same incredible results: a reduction of chronic pain and reduction of recovery time.

In 1988, John attended the Institute of Oriental Medicine and studied acupuncture.  Concurrently, John became licensed in the state of Hawaii as a massage therapist.  In 1990, Castle Medical Center in Hawaii hired John in their "work-well" rehabilitation center.  Overseeing 40 plus patients a day gave John the opportunity to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that his specific protocols had a 90% success rate in the reduction of chronic pain.
